The Indonesian President Regulation, stipulated on September 27, 2019: National Strategy for the Acceleration of Population Administration for the Development of Biological Statistics
- that in order to ensure legal status and legal certainty as an Indonesian Citizen, it is necessary to fulfill and recognize the identity of the Resident;
- that in order to fulfill and recognize the identity of the Population, it is necessary to facilitate public access to ownership of Population Documents through the acceleration of Population Administration which includes Population Registration and Civil Registration as well as the development of Biological Statistics as embodied in the National Strategy for the Acceleration of Population Administration for the Development of Biological Statistics;
- that the National Strategy for the Acceleration of Population Administration for the Development of Biological Statistics is needed as a guideline for the implementation of strategic steps of ministries/agencies, provincial local governments, and district/city local governments to accelerate the coverage of services' recording of population events and important events as well as the preparation of biological statistics;
- that based on the considerations referred to in letter a, letter b, and letter c, it is necessary to establish a Presidential Regulation on the National Strategy for the Acceleration of Population Administration for the Development of Biological Statistics.
