TAGS

Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Data for Health Initiative has opened a new funding round under its Global Grants Program (GGP), targeting improvements in civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) and the strategic use of public health data.

Government agencies and NGOs with government partnerships are eligible to apply for grants of up to $100,000 for 12–15-month projects commencing around 1 April 2026. Priority areas include CRVS governance, verbal autopsy implementation, and data integration for health planning.

The application process begins with concept submissions from 27 October to 14 November 2025, followed by full proposals due 8 December 2025 for shortlisted applicants.

Since 2019, the GGP has supported over 60 countries. The initiative is sponsored by Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Gates Foundation, with partners including WHO, SPC, ESCAP, Johns Hopkins University, and Vital Strategies.
