This guide has been designed for facilitators to use as a tool to assist country’s teams in the compilation of strategic plans and work programmes needed in the process of developing and implementing Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems in Africa, in accordance with the framework laid out in the African Programme on Accelerated Improvement of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (APAI-CRVS). The guide is based on the document on strategic planning: Strategic Planning Guide for CRVS. Accordingly, the guide is not a substitute for the planning document, rather a supplement in that it provides addition information on planning process in terms of content and methodology.
