(Newsletter: CRVS Insight October 2022)
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) organized the second national CRVS convention on 6-7 October 2022 in Manila. Ms. Rachael Beaven, Director of ESCAP Statistics Division had been invited to deliver a message to the participants.
The convention was attended by city/municipal registrars, solemnizing officers, academicians, statisticians, and other stakeholders all over the country. The activity served as a venue for the "dissemination of recent developments in civil registration and vital statistics and the recognize the outstanding Local Civil Registry Offices for the year 2021."
The conduct of the 2NCCRVS is one of the country's initiatives, through the PSA, towards the realization of the vision on CRVS Decade 2015-2024, that is, "By 2024, all people in Asia and the Pacific will benefit from universal and responsive CRVS systems that facilitate the realization of their rights and support good governance, health and development."
