In collaboration with Maldives Bureau of Statistics, ESCAP is organizing a national workshop on data analysis and report writing for civil registration based vital statistics in Malé, Maldives from September 3rd to 7th 2023.

This event is part of a series of two workshop being held in the Maldives, aimed at enhancing technical capacity for the production of vital statistics reports. The first workshop focused on the production of vital statistics on births, marriage, and divorce, whilst the second workshop will focus on the production of vital statistics on deaths and causes of death.  Both workshops will engage national stakeholders from Maldives Bureau of Statistics, the Ministry of Health, the Department of National Registration, the Department of Judicial Administration, the Family Court, the Civil Court and Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGMH) Hospital.
