The Pacific Civil Registrars Network (PCRN) is organizing a workshop on disaster planning and response in Suva, Fiji from 2 to 4 October 2017. The workshop is supported by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various members of the Brisbane Accord Group, including SPC, UNICEF and ESCAP.

The objectives of the workshop are;

•    improving interaction between Pacific island countries and institutions
•    assisting Pacific Island countries to implement international agreements
•    strengthening capacity building for sustainable institutional development and improving decision-making processes regarding disaster planning and response.
