This project aims to support the Government of Fiji in strengthening its CRVS system by analyzing and possibly redesigning its CRVS business processes.  The project will lead to a full description of the processes, a list of performance issues, and prioritized redesign ideas to improve the processes. 

A national capacity building and consultation workshop is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice Fiji, ESCAP and the Pacific Community (SPC) from 27 to 30 November 2023.  The workshop aims to consult with relevant national CRVS stakeholders from Ministry of Justice (MoJ), Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MoHMS), Ministry of iTaukei Affairs, Fiji National Provident Fund, Fiji Police Force, Fiji Bureau of Statistics (FBoS) to document and analyse the current performance of civil registration business processes and to strengthen the capacity of national stakeholders to analyse CRVS business processes as part of ongoing CRVS system strengthening.
