The Ministerial Declaration on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific emphasizes the need to address CRVS inequalities among hard-to-reach and marginalized populations, promoting universality and equity in civil registration regardless of factors such as gender, religion, or ethnicity. Countries are encouraged to conduct assessments to assess where such inequalities may exist.

The Third Ministerial Conference on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) in Asia and the Pacific will take place in June 2025. To ensure the voices of children, youth, and civil society are fully integrated into this critical event, Young People and Civil Society Forum will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 4-6, 2025.
BPS - Statistics Indonesia has launched a new report titled "Towards Inclusivity: Development of Civil Registration in Indonesia 2019-2023". The report highlights progress made by the Indonesian government in improving its civil registration system.
The purpose of the 2025 Meeting of the RSG is to ensure the Regional Steering Group, as the custodian of the CRVS Decade, provides direction and guidance for the ongoing work on CRVS. The meeting further aims to strengthen regional collaboration and readiness for the Third Ministerial Conference, ensure the successful launch and completion of the 2024 Review.

Participants will engage in a combination of presentations, training sessions, and practical exercises to strengthen their understanding and application of demographic methods.
