  • Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Inequality Assessments

    The Ministerial Declaration on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific emphasizes the need to address CRVS inequalities among hard-to-reach and marginalized populations, promoting universality and equity in civil registration regardless of factors such as gender, religion, or ethnicity. Countries are encouraged to conduct assessments to assess where such inequalities may exist.

Unlocking SDG 16.9: Harnessing the UN Legal Identity Agenda for Leaving No One Behind

UNICEF, in collaboration with UN Legal Identity Agenda co-chairs, UNDESA and UNDP are hosting an in-person side event at the 2023 SDG Summit. The side event aims to facilitate knowledge exchange by showcasing successful strategies, innovative approaches, and insights from six priority countries: Bangladesh, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, and Pakistan.

Workshop on Data Analysis and Report Writing for Civil Registration Based Vital Statistics in Maldives: Deaths and Causes of Death

In collaboration with Maldives Bureau of Statistics, ESCAP is organizing a national workshop on data analysis and report writing for civil registration based vital statistics in Malé, Maldives from September 3rd to 7th 2023.

Technical Workshop on CRVS System Interoperability and Data Sharing

The workshop, largely funded by the USA Embassy in New Zealand with support from the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs, seeks to build relationships between Civil Registrars in New Zealand, Niue, the Cook Islands, Tokelau, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, and America Samoa by exploring the use of technology and innovation to strengthen identity security across the region.
