The Ministerial Declaration on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific emphasizes the need to address CRVS inequalities among hard-to-reach and marginalized populations, promoting universality and equity in civil registration regardless of factors such as gender, religion, or ethnicity. Countries are encouraged to conduct assessments to assess where such inequalities may exist.

As we are reaching the end of the CRVS Decade (2015-2024) in 2024, countries will be asked to submit their questionnaire responses to ESCAP and provide updates on country progress toward meeting their nationally-set targets in accordance with the Regional Action Framework on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific.
The Third Ministerial Conference on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics in Asia and the Pacific will be held from 24 to 26 June 2025, at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), Bangkok, Thailand.
