  • Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Inequality Assessments

    The Ministerial Declaration on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific emphasizes the need to address CRVS inequalities among hard-to-reach and marginalized populations, promoting universality and equity in civil registration regardless of factors such as gender, religion, or ethnicity. Countries are encouraged to conduct assessments to assess where such inequalities may exist.

Visit of Nepal Government on the Production of Vital Statistics and Improvement of Demographic Skills

The Statistics Division of ESCAP, in collaboration with UNFPA Nepal and UNICEF Nepal, is organizing a training workshop titled "Production of Vital Statistics and Improvement of Demographic Skills", on 18-21 July 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The primary objective of this workshop is to provide technical support to government officers from Nepal in strengthening their capacity to regularly produce and report vital statistics using civil registration records.
