Ms. Justine Boland
Justine Boland is the Program Manager, Health and Disability Branch at the Australian Bureau of Statistics. This program covers vital statistics, as well as statistics and information production relating to health status (including causes of death); health-related services; patient experiences; disability; mental health and health risk factors. The Branch is also leading work to develop the content for the 2021 Census of Population and Housing. Justine has worked in a range of roles for the Commonwealth Government, including at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare and the (former) Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. These roles have seen her manage data linkage programs, health performance reporting activities, education statistics and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research and evaluation. Justine has qualifications in anthropology, together with a strong passion for improving information and access to data on social issues.
